Demand for HVAC equipment is projected to rise over five percent per year through 2010 as the market from new buildings and upgrading projects get on stream in response to improving economic growth in the Southeast Asian region.
Malaysia continues to be the hub for global production of HVAC equipment, more than 1 million minisplits are produced each year to meet the market demand. There is also a strong export focus with government expecting large manufacturers to export more than 80% of the production.
In response to record energy cost, home, industrial and commercial users are investing in more energy efficient HVAC systems. As such, demand for newer technologies including building management systems will increase. |
